Up until today I have had nothing but a good experience getting medical and health services from Sleeping Giant and specifically with Dr. Trevor McCormick. My dog is almost 12 years old and nearing the end of her lifespan, I have specifically asked Dr. McCormick and his staff for last 2 years to not give any further vaccinations (rabies, parvo, etc.) to my dog as she has already had a dozen or more series of these shots, she is nearing the end of her lifespan and at this point it is unnecessary and could be detrimental to her health. Today after dropping her off for an on-the-spot checkup on stomach issues she has been having, Dr. McCormick and his team surprised me with an updated rabies vaccination that they decided to give her without my consent, even after I had specifically requested them NOT to give her any further vaccinations. I even checked the box on the written form they ask you to fill out to contact me BEFORE if they need to sedate her or give her any types of injections/medical treatments. They did it anyways. They did not call me to ask, they just went ahead and did it. The vet technician told me that she "should have probably called to ask" and reminded me that "it's the law that dogs need to have the shot", Sleeping Giant animal clinic has completely failed me and lost any trust I have put into them. I would highly advise you do not take your dog here, go somewhere else. They will very clearly do whatever they want to your beloved animals regardless of your wishes. Avoid at all costs

Called Sleeping Giant just before closing about a porcupine quilling of our new puppy. They stayed open an hour after closing to get us in that evening! Very thankful, they really care and go out of their way to help. Impressive!
